Jen Jarvis: knit tricks/

There once was a lady who loved knits,

With needles the width of candle sticks,

She would knit all day,

Won’t care what you say,

She wants to show the world her new knit tricks.

Creative love from,

Jennifer

Bored of eco?/

I wanna be in

your gang,
your gang,
your gang!

I’m getting bored of everyone going on about being green, eco and sustainable within the fashion industry at the moment. It seems you can’t walk 5 minuets in london without being guilt tripped into “doing your part”.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti eco, I just cant help being a little cynical about the marketing advantages involved.

I’m more interested in how fascinated we as a society seem to be recently with our own destruction, and how we are using photography to sustain ourselves and our memories. Living in london we’re also constantly bombarded by images on a daily basis, the celebrity trying to sustain their career with PR stunts, and the Fashion House trying to sustain its profits with a new campaign and so on.

I’d love to shoot something in response to this idea for you.

meow, i am naddy, i am 17 and i study art in college. Me and my friend Danny are insane, we aim to start a fashion label together, we have a very funky name, but were not telling you, because you might steal it.

We made these outfits for a project in college, i’m the one with the spikey hair and i made my top and skirt, Danny is the one with ultra long hair and she made her crazy skirt, if you turn it upside down it looks like a tea cup. We were inspired by various designers and artists in this project such as heatherette and vivienne westwood, as well as alice in wonderland and Michael Aligs clubkids also leigh bowery.

After college we plan on moving to London to study fashion somewhere.
