Stop what you’re doing! Fringe! Film Festival is back children!!!
For those of you who don’t know Fringe! is a film and arts festival rooted in London’s queer creative scene, and from the 24th-29th of November they will be hosting a series of film screenings, workshops, talks and parties across East London that you don’t want to miss!
Started in 2011 as a response to the colossal arts cuts at the time, their mission is to “offer a dynamic, representative and unmistakably fresh alternative to other film and arts festivals” and in it’s fifth year now it’s set to be bigger and better than ever…mostly because I’m gonna be part of it this year *flips hair*- my campaign Nail Transphobia is gonna be a part of a queer beauty salon along with gender neutral hair dressers Barbette! So come and get your nails and hair done on Sunday if you fancy it!
Other highlights include a DJ workshop for women, a panel on “taking up gay spaces” and my personal favourite- a screening of Dyke Hard with a Q&A afterwards. Hopefully see a few of you there!
